OK so I know this topic has been covered many many times, But my question is an easy one I think. I have 1No 225 x 45 P6000 on my 2001 T5 with at least 4 to 5 mm of tread The other three tyres are down to about 2mm so I need to get new boots. I have the option of renewing the lot with P6000 Powergy @ approx £100.00 fully fitted or standard P6000 or do I take the option and reboot with another brand. I appreciate that there will be many options and suggestions and I welcome them all. So please fire away any reply fully appreciated.

we've got both the eagle f1 gds3 and conti sport contact 2s (225/45/17) on our response cars and considering how the cars get driven and i've hammered the cars and tyres like you wouldn't believe and they handle pretty well. The gds3 are bloody good when it really pisses it down like the other day and flooded loads of roads in the space of a couple of minutes

I had Dunlop Sp's (directional) on my '01 T5, and whilst dry grip was excellent, I found wet grip to be poor. I have recently changed to the Goodyear Eagle F1 3's on the front, and dry grip is still excellent, and wet grip is now extremely good as well.

An example of how the two tyres compare was when going round a roundabout in the wet, constant throttle and no braking, back end stepped out (Dunlop on rear, F1 on the front). F1's get my vote.

Had an offer I could not refuse 4 brand new P6000 fitted @ £400.00 total.
Thanks for the help.

Never had a T5 with P6000 on breakaway at roundabout in the wet always drive defensivly Now on 3rd T5 and had 2 T6's all on P6000. Never had a problem in the wet with any of my cars I always drive to the road surface conditions of the day. Also had T5 on P6000 round track at Donny with a very good driver from ?? can'nt mentioned name. The only vehicle had breakaway at a roundabout was a Cosworth and BMW 840 some years ago.
Mind you I am not a boy racer more like an old godger who thinks he's driving fast LOL. Thanks for the replies.

Cossy = Too much boost, surge causes rear breakout, fun :)

BMW 840 = Land barge... trying to get 2tonnes around a roundabout is not going to be easy for any tyre, lets face it.

I stick by what I said though, my father is driving his T5 on Avon's, they seem much better, even though they are a budget tyre.
