are the shokers springs the same on volvo v70 r and volvo v70 t5 1997

Springs are shorter to lower the car, dampers may be stiffer... I've got R suspension on my humble T5 and they fit fine!

The R is lower than a T5 so probs stiffer as well, If its time to replace it I would go for the right stuff unless upgrading ;)

i have been told that the r models have self levelling where as the t5 is not the r models have novomatic shockers is this right:) :) :)

Nivomat self-leveling shock absorbers are found on both T5 and R. Replacing them is expensive. You can use dynamic shocks eg monroe reflex or Koni FSD instead - which are cheaper.
