I received my new fob (courtesy of eBay) and had a go at reprogramming it. I tried the 5 times method but nothing happened. No light on the dash top no audible warning nothing. I also had a look on the glass about the sureguard 1 or 2 but i dont have any markings related to the alarm. Heres the fob its a 2000 so i am guessing maybe its a dealer reprogram?

HI Dave,
Is there any notification that after turning on/off the ignition 5 times that its ready to be reprogrammed? I wasnt seeing/hearing anything. (only the fan and seat belt warning)

I had mine programmed 2 weeks ago, It took bloody ages, Volvo had to send a email with a confirmation code to Braydons, then program the fob to the car, cost was £35,
