gearbox oil level(manual)

can anyone tell me how to check the oil level on my 95 t5 manual gearbox?

If you are that worried, I would drain it and refill the oil level (2.1l from memory)

Mike, if on the off chance the box is similar to a 2.0 20V the level/filler plug can be got at after taking off the passenger side wheel. You can then see the side of the box, there are 2 large hex plugs, the higher and to the right is the one you need, the other is the drain. If memory serves me right it should be about a 23mm head, I might be wrong, but it will be close. The proper socket and a large T-bar is ideal. The level is right when, with the car level, the oil is at the level of the threads.
