Spotted you, but got too far infront on the sliproad. Tried to hang back in the traffic, and eventually pulled up next to me at the Botley roundabout. What mods does the Samco sitcker belie then?

(PS my car's not lowered, i was just moving a whole world of crap back from uni)

I am a fellow member, car is totally stock apart from samco silicon turbo and coolant hoses, (sticker came with kit how ever touring car spoiler on roof did not). However car maybe stock but will give me 1 bar pressure all day long since installing the new fancy blue pipes, i think the originals may have been leaking somewhat.

Yes i did see that you had the R wheels and lots of what looked like large petrol cans in your boot.

When i shot of the junction like a rat up a drain pipe did flash my hazards at the same time, but with one hand on steering wheel and 1 bar pressure trying to escape gets very hairy but great fun.

One thing you might be able to answer for me, I have read on this forum that the overboost protection should cut in around 1bar or 14.7 psi, but for some reason on my car it cuts in a lot later around 18-20 psi ( i have a callibrated boost gauge) which is great but i have no idea what this may do to my engine and since max torque is around 3000RPM i don't give much hope for my con-rods either.

Reply would be most appricated, Oh one other thing the VPCUK sticker under your roof spoiler needs to be bigger you can't read it unless right on your tall.

PS are from around oxford, i used to live in sandford on thames, but just recently moved to just north of sailsbury.

Regarding the overboost cut-in, pop over to volvoclub.org.uk and volvo-tech.co.uk and speak to Pedro Fandango and bobcat. Pedro seems to have a stock ECU with a bizarrely high overboost too, but no-one wants to discuss it publically (...bit of history going on there) so best PM them :)

Yep 60L Jerry cans. Petrol is 91.9p in Leam and 96.9p in Oxford :O

The ECU in stock form won't produce enough torque to kill the conrods, it's only when if you fiddle with the wastegate/fit an MBC that you can cause problems.

Slightly off topic - my folks live near oxford. whilst filling up before returning home, I was stunned at the prices there for petrol. 101.9 for 99ron compared to 96.9 in sunny dorset!!
