Hi all, good day as usual, but the track was terrible for me, best run was a 14.8! Giles did well with a 14.5 but then he has spent 2k on a new turbo and a rica remap, it was expected, also his engine has only done 70k ish, despite what the clock says (202000)

My hat goes off to our man Duane though, with his PB of 14.5 at 99mph, that is an awesome achievement mate, Well done.

Thanks all those that turned out and braved the cold, those that didnt your in the black book lol.

Stratford next for a change of scenery guys!!!!

Cheers

what can i say, i'm going to be wearing this smile till the next meet

thanks to the few that did turn up (all the regular suspects again) even with the track as poor as it was it was still a very enjoyable day. I do feel it wasn't the same without the traditional saturday meal & drink but hopefully the money situation will be better next time.

Seem to be getting beaten with regular monotony!

14.6 and a 14.7. There I was thinking I had beaten Duane. It is very odd - the traction is strange as I managed both of these times with full pressure tyres. I need that extra 20mm that duane has. I am convinced I can get low 14's

Still I had a cracking day out and it was great to see you all again!

I think Lance should be renamed Looney Lance.

The beemer sure got put in his place and i looked down for a second to see 6000rpm in 5th gear, im sure its wrong like lol.

Best bit of the day for me that was, cos i was warm!!!!

Roll on Stratford and dry tracks and nice weather I reckon we will hit 13 s and 100mph with traction and a FLAT LEVEL run,

Definetly best run of the day for me too as my hangover had ended , I was warm and theres nothing better than playing chase me with T5s(not white with stripes) and p+ssing off bmers and modded escorts .
Looney Lance

ROTFLMAO

The escort driver was really fed up, he threw all his toys out the window and spat his dummy out!

Did you notice that you ever so slightly pulled away in 5th after 4000rpm?

16T turbo just has the slight edge mate.

Cheers

Its down to controlled over boost on mine, according to my acurate gauge the car hold 1.2 bar in 4th and 5th for a few secs, that could be why.

It would be a good idea to plumb whiplash with a gauge to see what she is doing, next time maybe....?

Defo sounds like a good idea , when Adam tested her she was running 1.2bar and he thought my turbo was around 90-95% effective.
Need to earn some fast cash for boost gauge , air intake to inlet manifold , new brakes, some 17" R wheels, road angel, strut brace and possibly a suspension upgrade. Which would you go for 1st?

Shouldnt be a problem lance, everyones saying much the same really! Top and bottom of it is I got a batch of them for the company vehicles just the other month (and one extra!!) and got a cracking deal from blackspotinteractive direct. I just need to call the guy back with an amount then beat him up on price again.... theres about 6 lads and lasses from NPOC put there names down so far and we need 8+ for a decent discount

Santa Pod is most DEFINATELY uphill btw folks! Thats why I think we are struggling to reach the 100mph trap speed. Stratford should bring some much better times! :dgrin:

I will reserve judgment, lets open it to a vote, I kind of like it, but like any democracy let the public decide!

So people Victor or not?
