More and more often, my clutch groans as I pull away and sometimes when I change from 1st to 2nd. Is it on the way out??

Hi Matt, difficult to diagnose noises when written lol, but if it’s more of a squeal type noise this could be the damper springs in the clutch disc, which tend to loose their tension over time and this normally denotes a tired clutch mate, hence it ain’t going to be long before you need a new clutch kit if you keep piling on the miles. If we both make the next Essex meet I can check her out if you like or ask one of the lads to do it at Dave’s BBQ. :)

Fair shout - I guess I may have asked how long is a piece of string or something equally as vague!!
Thanks for you suggestions. Much to my disappointment, I am working next week end (KTT BBQ). If I can make the Essex meet, I'll gladly take you up on your offer. The sound is more like a squeal than a groan. I assume if a clutch kit is required, it'll be an expensive job??
