I wound my passenger seat back yesterday to acommodate some long lengths of wood. I noticed thatthere is a fat orange cable going from the seat seat to the backrest and a black one on the other side.
What is this for? My seats aren't electric or heated. It seems a little wasteful to fit fully wired seating on all cars and just not adding the switches on lower spec vehicles. Besides I have lumber support adjustment wheel and an electric one wouldnt whould it?
What else would need wires?

SRS Airbag - There is one in the shoulder of each seat.

Thank god for that, you could have had a VERY interesting re-wiring session, maybe ending in whiplash (And not the good sort)...:bullwhip:
