Hi,
I am selling my VIP Alloy Wheels on ebay, purchased from Don at Kalma union 2.5 years ago.

I will be going to Avon Raceway on the 2nd April, so if anyone from here wants them I can bring them with me.
Tony.

Hi, I'm interested. I've got the standard 205/50/16 on my 1996 850 at present. What difference would I be likely to notice? Probably going to Avon too.
Cheers, Chris.

Hi Chris,
You will get better grip with the 215/40/17, and they look better!!

Car looks tall though, maybe due to the standard shocks and 17" Tyres ?

Would be better on 45 profiles for sure, and a 30mm drop, you could get 4 bags of cement though until you need new tyres. :B_steerin

Hi, Tony, they do look good. Not sure I can justify the expense; still thinking. BTW, not sure you're right about extra grip. The point at which a tyre loses adhesion is a function of downforce per unit area. A wider tyre has more area in contact with the road, but the same downforce, so less per unit area.
Cheers, Chris.

No its the LPT. but with all the Fishing gear in the back, it looked like a T5.
The T5 is much lower, and will look better with the wheels.

Hi, Tony, just so you know, I've decided not to have the wheels. I think they'd spoil the "stealth" aspect of the car. Thanks for offering them tho'.
Cheers, Chris.
