Got Mi Lump

Hey Guys

I have managed to go get my engine from Liverpool - cost me £290 complete with turbo. It came from a V or W reg T5 solid Turbo solid lump. So I guess my evening will be taken over by taking out the dud and getting this one in. This supplier has a couple more engines and two complete cars to break may well be good to give him a buzz if you need anything his number is 01519331994 - yes Dave I have double checked this time lol

if yours is an 850 then is the new lump from that year not ME7? will it cause you probs?

Mine is a 850 on a P plate - What sort of problems would there be? I called the guy yesterday and found out that the engine came out of a manual, mine is an auto, will there be any problems there?

A V or W plate will have the ME7 engine, this means fly by wire throttle, which yours hasnt!!! Ya might have to swap the heads over, but i might be wrong :sorry:

In that case mate he lied as the engine I got has the throttle cable similar to mine

Doubt it very much, you will have to swap the clutch and flywheel over,id guess thats it with regards to the manual/auto.
