gearbox whinning

Hi folks i have a problem at low revs in all gears my box makes a noise as if i was in reverse (manual T5-R) when i put my foot down the noise stops any ideas.Cheers peeps

Does the noise change when stationary if you depress the clutch or is it there all the time ?

Does the noise change when stationary if you depress the clutch or is it there all the time ?Can't hear it when stood still or when clutch is pressed.I can only here it when at low revs in all gears,when i floor it the noise seems to go away.Been told by volvo that it's the thrust bearing but sounds more like it could be some kind of vibration.But i do know that my rear anti roll bar is snapped and needs replacing but that doesn't seem to be were the noise is coming from.Cheers Ray
