I've started to notice a vibration felt through the whole car when accelerating at motorway speeds in a high gear.

Discounted wheel balancing 'cos when you let off the gas the vibration goes.

At the last service dealer flagged up "clicking driveshafts" which can be heard when setting off.

Is it likely to be the cause of this vibration issue too?

Car is an '02 S60 T5

Sounds like a good bet mate but check your lower bushes on the TCA’s / Lower Arms they are Ford quality on S60’s. Out of interest what mileage has she covered? :)

Could be some dodgy food you ate that's making you fart when accelerating!!

But I think the drive shaft theory is more plausable! :)

Oi Engineer LEEEVE it! :mischievo

Have you checked the wheel balancing recently, if it's only under accel then chances are it's something in the drive train!

could be a wheel bearing issue ?

Balancing seems OK. I've even rotated tyres front to back but its exactly the same.

Dealer wise I tend to use Rybrook in Warrington or William A Lewis in Telford as they're close to where Im working at the moment....Neither inspire confidence though!:troutslap

As for wheel bearings there seems to be no play or noise in them.

What did they give as the cause for the clicking drive shafts?

Usually means the CV joints are on the way out. I'm getting the same :(
