has anyone attempted to fit window tint on their motor's themselves, or should it be left to the experts?

Chapess thinks you should leave it to the experts, a DIY job will never be able to get the same results. The nice thing about a company doing it too is that if they do a poor job you get it done rectified for free where as if you do it yourself and it doesn't come out so well you have no comeback!

Just my opinion tho and i am just a mere female!! LOL

had a try myself & it is a right nightmare (especially on the rear quarters on saloons). So i got it done professionally in the end

Hey pedro,

What grade or level tint is on your car. I was going to get 18 (as opposed to the current 38) put on my black 850 T5R.

Yours looks nice and dark....I want that

I did a few a couple of years ago and had a complete mare of a time ended up taking the bl**dy windows out. Best left to the pro's i'd say.
As mrs mopp said no comeback if you balls it up yourself.

Hey Pedro, where and how did you get those cool twin tailpipes on your machine? They look so good. How did you get the cut out for the extra pipe in the rear valance too? :worship:

Pedro's twins are legendary as is the noise!

It is a false economy to do tints yourself. It is nigh-on impossible to avoid that blacked out tranny van look with the bubbles and that. I had my 740 done with limo tint - which is a lot of glass for about £250.

Well I thought it was cool at the time.

Now I am not so sure.

the exhaust was custom done by Powerflow. I had to do the extra cut-out myself using a dremmel (& grind off a small metal L section behind it)
