C70 3 Disc player problems

Got a problem with my 3 Disc player in the C70, it won't take the discs. It will pop out as if to load the CD close, then pop out again to reload the Cd and continues to do this until you eject it. Volvo dealer quoted me over £1,000 for a new head unit!!!!

So any help would be greatly recieved.

apologies if this sounds obvious, but I had this problem as I had the discs in wrong way up, worth a check.

yup tried both ways incase i had a moment where i wasn't doing things right.

Are these "normal" audio cd's ? I mean are they shop-bought cd's or are they one's you've burnt yourself ?

original discs, i don't use copied discs.

Are they on crack? You can get a seriously good headunit for £1000

but no one does a facia for it, so have to get one made then buy a head unit.
Did bid for one on Ebay from the US but got out bid :(

I was under the impression that they did an exchange unit at substantially less.....

you can get exchange units normally at a fraction of the cost of a brand new unit pm me the head unit model number mate and will price you one up on thurs when i am back in work!! will save you a bit of dollar:rotfl:

Dunno about the first but the second says for double DIN fitment and looks like it has a pocket plus fittings for new unit.

As I say, thats a very good place to get a stereo from too.
