can i use semi synthetic?

my t5 has just gone over 124k

I would use only a good 5w/40 Fully Synth, I use Valvoline £25 from local motor factors. Mobil 1 is the best and Kwik-Fit will change it for £40 with filter. Beware though they are not genuine filters. It has to be Genuine Volvo or Mann (who make them for Volvo)
